This beautiful clock is a great addition to any wall! The open frame was designed specifically to showcase the serpentine gear train all the way from the escape wheel to the hour wheel. This clock is equipped with a minute hand and an hour hand, and is fully functional, driven off a 5 pound weight. The criss-cross clock is constructed out of Baltic birch and Finnish birch plywood for dimensional stability so it should function fine for many years to come.

If you’d like to have this modern clock hanging on your wall, that’s great! Plans are now available to purchase! With your purchase, you’ll get a large downloadable zip file, containing all the information you’ll need to build this clock for yourself. The zip file contains DXF files for all the individual parts, along with PDF and EPS files you can use to print out full sized templates. So whether you plan on building this clock with a scroll saw or CNC router, you’re covered. One thing to note is that this clock is fairly large. If you’re planning on using a scrollsaw, you can still print out tiled patterns with a normal home printer, but if you live near a FedEx-Kinko’s, you may want to print out the patterns using a large format printer.

The ZIP file you can purchase will also contain CAD diagrams of the clock including several exploded diagrams, many pictures of the finished clock, and pictures of the clock while being constructed. Videos of the clock in action are also included. Of course, you’ll also receive a word document containing detailed information on how to construct the clock, step by step. Finally, every purchase comes with support. If anything is confusing or if you’re having any problems, you can always feel free to send an email.

Another thing to note is that this clock was originally built as a prototype, so the wood has been sanded, but not stained or finished. Of course, if you’d like to build this clock you can stain and dye it however you would like.
